It’s our beloved Queens Funeral today, I would have loved to go uptown to pay my respects but with Paul so ill it really isn’t possible but I shall be glued to the telly with my box of tissues.
Today’s project is all about colour and fussy cutting!! Eeekkkk fussy cutting, it really isn’t too bad I promise you, and when you colour your patterned papers you bring them to life.
The weekly challenge over at Global Design Project Challenge Blog HERE, is all about Colour. It was an easy one this week as the colours screamed flowers!! well for me anyways ha ha.
Colour Your Patterned Papers!| Colour Challenge!
Abigail Rose Designer Series Papers are just perfect for this colour challenge, they have colour one side and printed images you can leave as is or Colour your patterned papers to your heart’s content which is exactly what I have done for today’s challenge.
I also used the Quiet Meadow stamp set splatters and text images stamped lightly in Crumb Cake Ink for the background on the circle from the Stylish Shapes die set for added interest. The sentiment comes from the Inspired Thoughts Stamp set which is a sentiment only set.
I used Stampin Blends to colour the images, You can use pencils or watercolour pencils as is without adding water. Do you colour your patterned papers?
For that touch of subtle interest I embossed the layer with Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder after I cut a circle, and layered the panel up using dimensionals but adhered the white circle flat inside the bigger circle.
