It’s a weekly challenge and has fab inspiration from the Design Team, Challenge blogs make you think outside the box as well as simply following the brief directly.

Today’s quick and easy card uses a theme from The Male Room and challenge #146 Theme is Animals.

How cute is this card?

This Masculine card showcases the Hot Dog Stamp Set from page 72 of the Stampin’ Up! 2021 January – June Mini Catalog! 

When I chose the masculine patterned papers from the Well Suited Suite, I knew I had to stick to the colour scheme of the papers I wanted to use, so I googled what colours are sausage dogs and came across a photo with several different colours.

Did you know In fact, there are up to 25 recognised Dachshund coat appearance descriptions based on a variety of categories! I didn’t so I was super happy to find one that has a blue coat.

I loved making this card, I love the simplicity of the design. It is very replaceable for any level of crafter. Watch out for more projects from me using this stamp set! you can purchase this stamp set HERE.

Here is a close up. I just love using the Stampin up Stampin Blends for quick colouring, I also love leaving bits white for added highlight effects.

SIMPLYFAIRIES STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:

Begin with a 10.5cm x 29.7xm Basic White Thick card base. Scored at 14.8cm on the long length.

Cut a piece of Basic White to 8cm x 12, and a piece of Pacific Point to 8.3cm x 12.3cm.

Cut a piece of Handsomely Suited patterned paper 1.5cm x 8cm and cut a wavy edge using Paper Snips

Adhere the patterned paper to the White mat,

Stamp the images from the Hot Dog Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink as shown. 

Stamp the sentiment once in tuxedo black ink onto the white mat, and then again onto Basic Black Card stock in Versamark Ink Pad add White Embossing Powder and heat set using your Heat Tool.

Cut part of the sentiment from the Black card stock and adhere on top of the sentiment on the White mat using dimensionals.

Colour with the following Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs: Balmy Blue, Seaside Spray , Night of Navy and Gray Granite. 

Finish with some Rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestones Basic Jewels.
