It’s time for the Stampin Creative monthly Blog Hop, you may have pop here from Pip’s fab creations HERE
This months hop is all about casing the catty, Do you lack time, has your Mojo gone on a summer hols, Need a card in a hurry then casing is the way to go,.
You don’t need to copy directly, you don’t even need to have the stamps that have been used on the card or project, I chose cards that I don’t have the products that have been used just took the layout and played about,.. I have 3 cases for you hope you like..
First up is a card on page 35
I used the new Expressions Natural Elements, lovely wood veneer words, the DSP used is from the English Garden DSP , Crumb Cake Card Stock, finished off with Hello Honey flowers punch using the accents punch set, Linen Thread and Rhinestones. The embossing Folder used is the Large Polka Dot.
Next up is a card cased from page 11
For this one I used a set that I hankered a long time for, it first made its appearance in the U.S when photopolymer came on the SU Scene, the Endless Birthday Wishes, I did a very happy Dance when I saw this in the catty, I turned the design vertical and made the cake pop other than in a window….added some stamped sprinkles, I coloured the image using the blender pens for a watercolour effect, …….
Next up is one from page 42, though I don’t have this set, it will be in my basket in the very near future there is some amazing creations in blogland using it,
but for now I have again used the Endless Birthday Wishes set, I also wanted to show that if you like the Washi Tape effect but didn’t have any to hand then you can just make your own with strips of DSP………
Well that all from me for now, do pop back soon as I have been trawling the challenge blogs again, and you might just like what I have made…
But for now please follow on to Eimears blog HERE where some fab delights await you
great cased projects kim, love those wooden elements and what a great way of suing the layouts with your own stash.
Lovely as always, Kim, your projects were worth waiting for 😉
Fabulous cards Kim xxx
Kim, I love all of your lovely creations. I really like the wooden embellishments and must invest in some. The Endless Birthday Wishes was one of the first sets I purchased from this catalogue and I can't believe I've not started playing with it yet, but you've prompted me to do so. I love your interpretations. Some great inspiration, thank you x
Love, love, love your creations Kim – I really like the fact that although you've used the Catalogue as inspiration you've not replicated it exactly – you've put your own spin on the layouts and styles – very nice!
Lovely cards Kim! what a great idea! Xx Erna
Super cards but that first one is so lovely – kind of knocks yer socks off! Your CASED version is, I'm afraid, better than the original!x
