Hello all, oh my how the weather has changed… though it didn’t spoil me weekend coz I didn’t allow it too…. I went to craft barn on saturday to see the demo’s they were fab, it were very packed, so squashed in where i could, didn’t see all of them, but made sure I saw my fellow DT’s from dare u 2 digi, Chris Dark and sandra dry as always they both had stunning creations on their tables, I sat for a while watching Chris colour with the distressed inks, and was waiting with baited breath for Chris to get to doing that unique background that she does, oh my its fabulous…. and got some tips from sandra for coloursofts so thankyou ladies….
I did come home and try Chris’ technique and didn’t do too well I am afraid, but hey it all comes with practice!!
Right onto todays card its for a new challenge blog called Stampin for the weekend, and I found it on the fabulous Suzy q’s blog, do pop over to Suzy, there is a fabaulous array of inspiration going on there….
The challenge is a colour one, Yellow and purple! The image stamp i used is Fairy Chole you can get her HERE from Dies to die for, I coloured her in copics and finished her with glamour dust, the sentiment is from the Enchanted lily stamps by pink cat also from Dies to die for.. I used Stampin up Lovely lilac cardstock and So saffron designer seris papers, I cut slivers of the lilac cardstock and threadled it through the buttons….

Such a cute card Kim, love the colours and the layout. What a good idea to cut slivers of card for the buttons – I can never get ribbon through wihtout getting in a right mess. Chris xx

Mmmm love the colour combo. Such a cute card and thanks for telling us you threaded the buttons with card. I'll have to try that, sounds less messy than dying thread, 🙂
Thanks for your good wishes with Bess. Staffies do have such lovely faces don't they and they are so loving (with people at least – Bess wants to chase after the birds and cats, not too sure what she'd do if she caught up with them).
