Hello Everyone… I don’t know about you but am I glad the weekend is here,i am a little wornout… well stressed out is the right word, I got locked out my craftroom last night and was panic stricken to say the least, I made today card and was waiting for it to dry before photoing it, and the stoopid door catch jammed and would not budge, had to get poor Paul out of bed wait half hour for blinkin stairlft to ferry him down, holding onto his wheelchair while he tried to kick door in, yep drastic measures!! i was beside meself, it would not nudge we were there nearly an hour, what a mess we made of the door, using screwdrivers and all sorts, but in the end we got the cath out all bent and buckled, now I have to barracked the door up so Stamford don’t go in and chew me stash up, oh my copics I would cry if that happened…
Anyhoos on to the Dare u 2 digi challenge and what a fab one it is this week too!! Gingham and stitching…., well I used me new mini sewing machine Paul got me for me birthday, I know I shouldn’t be using it till Sunday, But I needed it as my main one has got a little sick…lol I used the uber beautiful Lily Rosabella Digi image from Sandra Dry, Doodlebug paper cardstock Stampin up as is the sentminet and the oval standard and oval scallop punches, buttons and flowers from me stash!! gorgeous buttons too I think they are from woodware, some are glittered, Oh yes and coloured with copics from craftsulove.. Finished with glitter….
Hope ya likes….. The rest of the team have made some spectacular creations, and theres a prize too well fabby includes a Martha Stewart punch, go check out the blog…This weeks dare is for Post pals….”Post Pals is an organisation that was set up to create smiles for children who suffer from life threatening and long term illnesses. We ask people to log on to send the children featured on our website ‘happy post’. When a child is very ill, often a visit from the postman can make their day. A cheery card or letter can make them feel less alone and bring welcome distraction from what they go through each day. To see the difference happy post can make please watch this great video (link) To find out more about Post Pals, please log on to http://www.postpals.co.uk/ and have a look around the website.
To send a card to a child and brighten their day, please follow the 5 easy steps on the home page. Post Pals is sponsoring the card competition at Dare U 2 this week. To enter, we ask that you choose a Pal on the website and make a card for them. Please post a photo to your blog of the card and say which pal it’s for then link us to it. Here is the most important bit though… please then post the card to the address on your chosen child’s page. Please also remember to fill out the stats page (link to this is on the 5 easy steps) so we can see the card has been sent. The reason we’re sponsoring this challenge is to create more awareness of Post Pals and increase the amount of
cards that are sent to the children to brighten their days. We look forward to seeing your creations!”
Well I have decided to send a card and gift to Ethan C and his siblings and mum she is dealing with this on her own, and william m and his siblings, it seems all the girls at the moment in the stats are recieving bits, and the boys are somewhat left behind!! and whilst we love to do girlie cards and such, i am gonna go out my box and make cards for boys,…..
