Hello Stampin Friends,

Apologises It’s been a while since I have blogged, I have been on my usual IG and Facebook Page sharing my projects so theres lots of inspiration if you pop over there links at the bottom of post.

Today I’m sharing a soft spring card featuring the beautiful Notes of Spring stamp set from Stampin’ Up! which is part of the Product Of The Month offering!

This project was also inspired by the latest #FMS730 sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge, which provided the perfect clean layout for this design.

Product of The Month

Notes Of Spring Stamp Set!

For my focal point, I used the sweet deer image from the set, but added a little twist by using the reverse stamping technique. This allowed me to create a mirrored image so that the deer are facing each other, which gives such a gentle and balanced feel to the card.

To do this, I first stamped the image onto a Silicone Mat, then flipped it over my cardstock and firmly pressed onto the stamped image and rubbed my hand over the cardstock. This transfers a softer, reversed version of the image, allowing me to have the deer facing each other. It’s such a simple technique, but it really adds something special to your projects and gives you even more versatility from your stamps!

I stamped in Memento Black ink and coloured the deer in soft, natural tones to keep with the spring theme, using Crumb Cake Stampin Blends and a touch of a new upcoming colour called Barely Blush for their cheeks and inside their ears, Fussy cut them out then layered them over the angled panel from the sketch to which I stamped fern images and used a blending brush with ink for a background scene. I love how this layout adds interest while still keeping the overall design clean and uncluttered.

To finish the card, I added a simple sentiment from another upcoming product called Opulent Oasis Stamp Set, die cut leaves from The Greenery Lane Dies and neutral coloured sequin embellishments, letting the focal images and technique really take centre stage.
