Hello my crafty friends
I wanted to share with you a beautiful card today that I made for my lovely friend Linda, Tomorrow is a big birthday for Linda, and I wanted to make something special, fear not Linda has received and opened her card, and loved it.
This fun fold was inspired by my lovely friend and team member Emma Goddard and you can find the instructions and measurements HERE on her blog. Emma is a very talented stampin up Artisan team member, and is very inspiring too. I just had to make one of these fun folds I hope I have done Emma justice. PLEASE NOTE THIS CARD DOES NOT FOLD FLAT, IT LAYS FLAT!
This post is photo heavy so that you get the gist of the fold mechanism. And the fab thing is it just lays flat into your card. I have use the Free as a Bird Stamp Set. Its a beautiful stamp set, and I am enjoying playing with it, I have made several projects using it and I have fallen in love with it. You can now purchase this set through my Online Stampin Up Store just click on the product links at the end of this post.
I first stamped the card blank, and extra strips for the fun fold using versamark ink and the leaves from the stamp set, I stamped these randomly all over, this is a clear ink and has many uses and this technique is just pure stamping nothing else and it takes on the colour underneath making it daring looking like its stamped in the same colour ink as the card stock!
I then stamped all the images from the same set in Memento Black Ink, and coloured using stampin blends, and then fussy cut them all. I scrunched up the leaves and flowers to add dimension and make them look more life like.
The sentiment is from Butterfly Wishes Stamp Set and punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch.
I hope you have enjoyed this fun fold project as much as I did making it.

Hi Kim,
Just came upon this lovely card of yours on Pinterest and made one similar using the measurements from Emma's blog.Mine looks great too but won't fold flat for posting. I'm going to put it in a SU! acrylic box. Am I doing something wrong?

Oh I am sorry Jenny, it appears my reply did not post, it should indeed fold flat. It could be that you have attached the strips too close to the scored tabs you should always attach slightly back from the score lines and then it should lay flat for posting, hope that helps Kim x
I think you post it open and the recipient folds it slightly to make it stand up and out x
Hi Kim,
It would be helpful if you could put in where to score & placement of strips for those new to stamping.
Love the card & will give it a go.
Hi Suzie, Thank you, There is a link in the post with instructions and measurements its at the top of the post.
