Inspire.Create.Challenge #019 Guest Designer.

Today I am honoured to be a guest Designer on the fabulous Inspire Create Challenge blog,  HERE and the challenge is a colour challenge, use any of the above Brand new In Colours from Stampin Up!

I chose to work with , Blueberry Bushel, Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch.

This one I made for a birthday, one  of my downline team members Emma Goddard, who happens to be on the design team for Inspire.Create, but is also a Stampin Up! Artisan Team member too!! No pressure eh!!  I do hope Emma liked her card, I love Emma’s watercolour backgrounds that she makes, so I thought this was right up her street..

Now my card was super inspired by a card a fellow Demo in America  called Maria Willis shared on our Stampin Up Demo page.  I just loved her Card and the technique she shared, and I so wanted to give it a go,  I firstly made one in Blue Hues for another Birthday Girl, which I shall share with you another day.

Whilst Maria used a retiring Stamp set, I chose to use the carrying over Oh So Eclectic stamp set,   I firstly stamped the flower from this set onto watercolour paper, with Memento ink, Yes, the one that you use for alcohol markers Light Grey in this case on the flowers, this is what Maria used and it bled with the water but it gave such a beautiful effect, dabbing it dry with paper towel so it don’t get too muddy, as later I used the  Stampin Blends to finish the card off with,,

I then stamped some  flowers onto post it note paper so I can mask and layer up the flowers.

Once the watercolour wash was done, I put the masks back on as Maria did and flicked some black marker pen ink over the stamped images,   I also flicked some wink of Stella too, mine comes through white and I love it.  I adhered some Rhinestones and Glitter epoxy dots to finish it off. The sentiment is from the new set Stitched all around. 

The stamped mat was then adhered to Blueberry Bushel Card Stock, oh this is such a gorgeous colour.
